About the candidate

I have deliberately chosen not to engage on social media. This personal decision allows me to focus my efforts on building trust with voters and engaging in meaningful dialogue with the community in more personal ways. Also, social media can sometimes lead to polarizing opinions and negative comments, which would detract from the focus of my campaign. Misinformation and online trolling are common, and dealing with those distractions can pull the focus away from what's important; our students.

 With over 20 years of experience in the oil and gas industry, I bring a wealth of knowledge and expertise in both business and legal matters. I hold a law degree and am licensed to practice in Texas. Additionally, I have earned an MBA and am a certified mediator.

I am actively involved in pro bono volunteer mediation through the Montgomery Dispute Resolution Center, where I apply my conflict resolution skills to assist individuals in navigating disputes.

These experiences have honed my ability to collaborate effectively, negotiate complex issues, and foster positive outcomes. I am eager to leverage these skills in working with board colleagues to support students and teachers.

To attract and retain talented teachers, it's essential to increase the pay scale to remain competitive with surrounding districts. We are currently losing valuable educators to other districts offering more attractive salaries. Additionally, with the rapid growth in Montgomery, there is a growing need for additional resources to support both teachers and students. I am committed to working towards securing these resources and ensuring that our educators have the tools they need to succeed. Moreover, I plan to visit campuses regularly to connect with staff, show my support, and demonstrate that I truly value their hard work and dedication. 

With shifting demographics, it's crucial for the board to work collaboratively to address the challenges ahead, rather than dwell on past conflicts. As a leader, lawyer, and certified mediator, I possess the skills necessary to help guide the board toward unity and ensure we remain focused on our shared goals—supporting teachers and providing the best opportunities for our students. My experience allows me to foster productive dialogue and help drive solutions that benefit the entire district.
